I always loved the look of the road king classic and saw one for sale recently with 24,000 miles and AP was $7445.
I would like to hear from anyone who actually owned one or really anyone with experience with the older road king classics.
I know 2002 was a good year for the TC. Is this price good? Miles are low for an 02. It is in the real teal color and looks really clean in the photos.
I own a 2005 springer classic so I know all about the cam chain tensioners and other issues.
Are there things to look for on an 02? I believe it is EFI. Should be Delphi. Right?
My first Harley was an '02 Road King Classic that I bought in 2010. The last year of the forged cranks with the tight runout specs and the first year of the improved Delphi fuel injection system, so it's a sweet-spot year. They are great bikes. I got over 30K miles out of mine and never had any significant problems with it. Great year, enjoy the new ride!

Around here a 2002 RK would be listed for sale $6000 - $7500, and there are a few for sale under $6500 and have been for sale for awhile. Your mileage may vary - good luck
I have a 2003 RKC and I love this bike. It has soul and the old school look and feel. I bought mine 2 1/2 years ago for $12,900 Canadian. It had 23000 miles approximately. Last April I installed tensioners and checked the runout on the crank. The mechanic said it was almost nill. I have dumped a ton into it making it mine but that's just me. I have ridden new bikes but this one has heart and soul all over it. You cant go wrong with a Road King..................hail to the King baby
I love my 02 and will keep till I am gone.
Last year for the good crankshaft and timken bearings.
First year for the delphi FI and larger axle's.
The 88 runs cooler I think. I did add a oil cooler for piece of mind.
Also I have a gear drive ....so no tensioner issues.
I to have spend a wad to make her mine, but thats ok.
I put some rushmore bags on her.....
My pics are not the greatest sorry....
