A tornado came thru wisconsin last week Thursday it took a 40 mile path and was a F3!! I never seen anything like it in my life there were houses just ripped apart and the trees looked like there were just snapped off at neck level! I couldnt get to alot of the areas with the most damage due to roads being closed and forestry workers still clearing the streets but i did manage to get one good pic. The most amazing thing is there was no human life lost. One guy had to take shelter in his bath tub because he had no basement he got knocked out and end up in a field near were his house was!!!
Pretty mind boggling isn't it? I saw what was left after the F5 in Moore, Okabout a week after it had happened. It looked likemile wide bombs had been droppedalong for several miles.
No way wind will pick up them lead sleds. All kiddin aside though it was one of those I feel tiny moments. But one good thing came about we found alot of new roads we never been on and the riding was great!!
You know, I may live half a continent away from there, but even up here in Canada,we always hear about the OK, Kansas and Tornado Alley disasters. Whenever I do hear of another F3 - F5 twister, I always ask myself the same question? Why do people even live in that area when year after year these area's get hammered with twister that'll uproot trees and throw pickups a block and a half?
I have seen many tornados in my life, coming from the south (Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana.) I live in Albuquerque now. Since living here, there have only been two, that I recall. One hit just last week. No human loss, thank God. My wife is starting to freak out, with all the weather changes. I tell here, we live in NM and don't have to worry about a lot of it, floods, fires, and tornados. OOPS, now she is even more freaked. The weather has changed a lot over the last few years, and not for the better. Heck, we had snow in May? WTF?? Global warming, or whatever the cause, it does remind us how little we really are. I am affraid of no man, but Mother Nature, she can be a b!tch. LOL
