Good morning all. I have a 2011 FLHTP, and noticed that the 2 screws that connect the outer to the inner fairing (the ones in the middle of the fairing, not the ones down by the forks) have pulled through the holes of the inner fairing. Now the screw goes straight through the hole and doesn't hold the inner fairing at all. Has anyone experienced this problem and is there taking fix? Thanks in advance!

Reason: Typo
I had that happen on a friend bike we just used a little longer screw "hex head" and washers then painted the same color and unless your looking for them you can't notice them
As I read it, OP, this isn't a matter of the inserts failing...it's a matter of the plastic around the hold of the inner fairing getting 'hogged out'...had that same problem with my '06 FLHX. I grinded a washer to fit for each hole and epoxied them into place. There's just not a lot for the washer to bite on, so my repair was 'meh'. One could slather a little more epoxy over the initial repair.
Otherwise, it's just gonna take replacing the inner fairing.
I think HD made a "screw in" replacement. Somewhat like this. If your inserts are the knurled type. I replaced several on my '07, but I just used brass inserts like these, I think the HD’s are similar. You have to drill the hole oversize, sorry don’t recall the bit size, then these self thread. Been several years since I did it, no problems since
