not obsessed.... I use simple green and spray everything from the lower cases down. let it soak while I get my wash stuff around. No mitt down there, but I do have a wheel brush and nylon bristle brush that gets used down there. Not squeaky clean, but not really dirty either. typically these are days where I don't care to ride due to weather, so the time is not that important.... and my wife always wants to know what I'm doing. Nothing is usually my response....

My bike gets washed once or twice a year. I take it to my Indy and he charges me about $200 or $300 bucks to wash it. Seems expensive but he throws in a new tire for free. Running joke with my indy. I call him to make an appointment and tell him my bike needs a bath. He's simply asks, front or rear?

I used to wash my bike more often but I commute on it everyday. I'm not going to spend hours detailing my bike on the weekends only to have it dirty again by Tuesday. I rarely make it the whole week with out a lit mist, or rain, or just the dirt that gets stirred up at the office.

More power to you OCD types though. Good for you!

Took me 70 years?? Maybe a few less but I am no slave to women, beast, motorcycle,yard..ect.
Need to be careful. That obsessed can get worst.
Don't get me wrong. I tidy it up and when crazy stuff happens like I had to tear out of my yard with two inches of rain on top and a North Easter going to put a foot of salt water in my building. Looked like I had been off roading by the time I got to high ground in my garage.

I cleaned the underside then with a water hose.
Other the that, little Windex on the chrome and little Pledge on it once in a while.

Harley's are like dogs. I park it late November, throw a cotton child sheet over it and head south for 4 months. It's happy to see me in. April.

Never a bad idea to put your eyes on every part, you never know what you may see, and it’s much easier to see potential issues when things are clean

Love a clean bike, but I don’t spit shine like I used to. Like you, I used to obsess over having a spotless car / truck / bike. I don’t have the time or will anymore (probably an age thing) and only give them a full once over 1 time a year.

Bike gets its treatment at the end of the season before she gets tucked away for hibernation.

In full disclosure, as I am getting a bit older...it's not as easy to get down to address all those areas on the bike. Thank goodness no spokes...lol.

Naw man you not obsessed. It's your ride. You do what you do best to it.. You like your bike looking clean. Ain't nothing wrong with that. I hear guys all the time say of my bike looks clean it don't look like I ride. I think to myself "Naw you just lazy."
I have a Road King with a lot of Chrome. I ride almost every day and every day or night when i get home I wash her down, clean up all the chrome and get underneath her to clean out the bottom of her and get all that cheap off of her.

Basically do what you do. Don't care bout what everyone else thinks.

It's your bike so do what makes you happy. Mine got a rub down maybe once a month but I didn't get to fancy. Some clean-o-holics would have been mortified to see the condition of the underside. Ha! Oh and the bags covered the rear tire and rim so you can imagine what those looked like. Lol!
