it is a done deal now and bear in mind ,not a great deal. I will pick up a new bike Monday, same Pewter Pearlwith the same options, chrome front end, stage 1 and screamin eagle slip ons, but it will cost me $1000 out the door, my bike has 1400 miles and is about 4 1/2 months old. I wanted an even up swap, but , even with the factory involved it just ain't gonna happen. If it were to happen, they would have to please all the other people bitchen out there. I just want to ride and smile while doin' it so it is worth the lousey grand "to get er done"'I sorta let myself down cause I said I would not give an inch but you get to a point where you just gotta throw your hands in the air. Gotta give credit to the srvice manager @ Peterson's South in Miami though, goes by "Rooster", he stepped up to make this deal happen or I woulda been S.O.L.So......whats a $1K to get back on the road with a smile?
Absolutely ride it 1st !!!! It sounds like a decent deal. Being in the car bis (not sales), what they're doing for you is above & beond. A grand?? Not pocket change, but not bad. Kind of like a pro-rate.
If that's the case, why don't you send me 1,000???
If the bike is a piece of junk in 1,400 miles and 5 months,he should not have to pay to get his problem corrected. That is what a two year warranty means. They should either make it right or give him one that is right.
I think you came out smelling like a rose on that. After reading all the posts about "stealers" and tranny problems and CVO 110 engines that give it up, I'd say, well, you came out smelling like a rose.
a grand can seem kind of sour..plus i assume the 7% sales tax on the $1000..plus new tag..plus new stamps on the loan ? about $1150 i hope they do not try to bill you for some "other" fee's...
consider placing vin # on this site..you know that bike will be on the floor FOR SALE the moment the deal is done..
sometimes it is best to pay a grand and walk away...but dam that has to hurt!
