Bagger shoot out
I wouldn't say the review was BS, but it wasn't a test, it's just a subjective discussion....... so there's no "reality" to be dealt with.... only opinions...
It is almost impossible these days to find anyone, anywhere, who will just give you facts, and let you make up your own mind... everyone feels it's their duty to tell you what to think. They skew facts, or pick & choose facts, to guide you to their conclusions... this happens in everything from what foods to eat, to politics, to social issues, et al...
If it were a true "Bagger Shootout"... it would have objective tests for everything. Test engine performance aspects (that's easy), test stereo performance (stereo volume v road noise, etc), test the wind flow around the fairing, test suspension, test brakes, etc., etc.... Come up with an objective test, to measure the differences in the things you believe will matter when choosing a bagger. If it can't be objectively tested, leave it out of the "shootout".
That "shoot out" was just a discussion, by a bunch of guys (none of whom I know or trust), who took turns riding different bikes and offered their opinions...
PS- FWIW, I'm a die-hard, long-time Harley owner also reading the BMW K1600 forum, because I'm looking hard at the BMW Grand American....

not knocking Harley, different deals. I'm just at that point where comfort, performance, handling, braking along with features like reverse matter.
Another BMW K feature some may not like. Tires last about half as long vs a Harley. The tires are designed for very high speeds. Soft tread, so the bike can safely take corners up to the suspension system. On the other hand your not replacing lifters, compensater, etc.
one bike is built more for style, the other more for riding frankly.

I may still end up with one regardless. Really nice.
