my GUESS, Honda didn't want to have there bike reviewed for this article. Especially if they were aware of the Dyno comparison. Honda has not published HP ratings for the new wing. In my opinion it would be between the V-twin 's and the BMW K1600b or bagger.

they claimed it wasn't available at the time? They should have just waited for a bike to be available so all the players where at the party! Either way didn't make sense there wasn't any rush to do the shoot out? And they might should have included the 2 cvo Harley Davidson bikes if there wasn't a price cap. You know to keep it interesting, after all it's a bagger bike shoot out for our readers entertainment right?
New Honda Goldwing (2018) is 90 lbs lighter then last years model...produces about 125 HP stock with about 125 Ib.s of torque! The Harley CVO Road Glide with 117 engine is also 125 lbs of torque. BMW K1600b claims 160 HP 129 ibs of torque...like to get the Beemer out in the Colorado MT. rds...yeeha...lol!

the other factor is that the BMW K bikes have 70 percent of there torque at 1500 rpm!
As important as the 6cyl engine is, the suspension system and tires are amazing on mountain roads.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..I guess! I think its a beautiful piece of machinery that being said..I would love to ride one on say the Million Dollar Highway..great power and handling..the earmarks of German engineering!
The article to me, seem biased away from Harley. Like they added them in just to prove they "suck" in their eyes. They didnt totally flay them but close to it.
We know they CANT have any sense or knowledge if they think the Street Glide can BEAT a Road Glide! Jeez. Neanderthals.
Todd, if your riding 600 miles plus per day you really should check out the new K1600B or Bagger and the K1600GA or Grand American. Different seating than the other K models. Would also highly recommend the Russell Day Long seats for your Harley or BMW. In mine and many others opinion, the most comfortable motorcycle seat available. Used by many Iron butt riders.
I would have to check out those models more. My issue is the foot positioning as well as the seating. My hips kill me after a while. The harley lets me squirm quite a bit.
I know about the Russell. Dang things are pricey and ugly but i guess your *** doesnt care about looks. I only ride that much a couple of times a year on vacations but it might be worth a look. Back to back. 750 mile plus days coming back from Colorado last August i think my *** might have kicked my wallet out of my pocket to buy a Russell. I use an airhawk pad at times. It helps but i hate dealing with it.
