Was not happy with the light output of the rear on my Street Glide, but like the looks. Had CD on my Sporty, so that was the first thing I did. Plus I added Plasma Rod to the edge of the trim panel between the bags and fender. So I doubled up my run/turn/brake lights. Then last fall due to broken wire, I replace the tri-bar lamp with one of CD led lights. What a difference!!! Just love the CD led's and their modules!!
The HD led bar for the Air Wing luggage rack is woefully weak, so I purchased a similar product from CD and it is way better...especially that when you engage any brake it blinks 5 times before staying on.
I switched over to Custom Dynamics' set up after having a Bright *** tail light on my last few bikes. Rear running lights and center tail light all flash when the brakes are applied, not just the center light. Better warranty too. Also went for the front Ringz running/turn signal set up. With 5 bright white lights on the front of the bike, I'm betting I'm going to be seen, so I'm not looking for a modulator. If they run me over now, they wanted to.
Pretty sure modulators are now legal in all states. Didn't know they worked with LEDs though.
They are in CO. Springs CO
I run one as well as the BAL.
They also have tail light modules.
Wouldn't run w/out either of them.
As you say gotta have all the edge you can get.
Thank ya, sir...I will look into this. I've never run a headlight modulator, but I tellya what, I've never seen such crappy drivers on the road these days... any advantage is welcome!
I think the flashing headlight may be illegal in some areas .......
FYI- daytime headlight modulators have been legal in ALL states for approx. 30-yrs. Its a Federal thing. Always kept with me the legal paperwork Kissan packages with their product just in case I ran into an LEO that didnt know. Ive never had to show it.
The added benefit is that clueless cage drivers often pull over to let you pass. Often they offer up a one finger salute.
