Default Vivid black lowers on a non black bike?

Has anyone put black lowers on another color bike? I want to order a set of lowers for my Road Glide, but don’t want to dump $700 in something I’m only going to use on long trips or during the winter. I can get gloss black ones cheap and if I don’t like the way they look, I could have them painted locally and still be cheaper than HD.

If you have done it, or can photoshop mine, please post up.

Honestly, with all the black already on the bike, I think they’ll blend right in without issue.

Just put a set on a red and black street glide Sunday. Enough black to just not even notice them. They are dark, low and match your hwy bars. You'll be the only one concerned. If, for some reason, it bugs you, get a local to color match at some later date, but I doubt you'll need to.

Thanks guys. I think you’re right. I’ll get them ordered and will update this thread when they come in, Incase the next guy is thinking about the same parts.

They will look fine. But your plan is a good one. Take a side panel and the lowers to a local paint shop. They can match the paint and paint the lowers if you want. That's what I did for my fairing.

After looking at your bike some more, I think the black will look better than having them color matched. These bikes are already big and I feel like the lowers just add more bulk to the look. If they’re black though, they’ll probably blend in so much that they won’t be that noticeable since you’re eyes will go right to the white parts.

If that color bike was available when I was looking, I would have went with that one for sure. Love it man.

Cool

Your new lowers would probably look even better in 'stealth' black instead of gloss.

Congrats Chris!

Okay, gotta ask.
CVO Street Glide gone last year. CVO BreakOut now gone?
RGS New Whip?

Saw the same bike at SouthSide HD this past weekend.

Again, Congrats my friend!
