hello all.. New here.. love in San antonio.. I'm looking to replace my broken stock seat on my 04 electra glide classic.. came here for information

I’m sure it won’t be hard to find another stock seat, there’s probably lots of them hanging on walls, sitting in boxes, or stored in basements all across the US.

Aftermarket? Yep, you guessed it, more options than you’ll know what to do with.

The problem is it would seem many dont fit my 2004 model and some want my old seat to rebuild. Right now im thinking about the mustang deluxe super tourer with backrest.

Here's the issue....You and I could stand on a busy sidewalk and 100% agree on the ladies butts we like and don't like as they walk by. But what we can't agree 100% on is what our own butts like. Choosing the right seat will be one of the hardest things you do.

Touring seats from '97-'07 will fit your bike. Even Road King seats will fit. They are just shorter on the nose. They make a trim plate to cover that if you went that route. Those big cushy original touring seats are pretty easy to find. I've bought two and paid less than 75 bucks for either one.

I have the Mustang Wide Touring seat (75449) and my wife and I both like it but seats are a personal thing. If I had to do it again I'd consider the Super Touring seat for the extra 1" but it isn't a deal breaker for me. I definitely wish I had gone with a backrest and will probably be adding one.
