Well I just installed the Sunpie lights on my 17 Road King. Couldn't have been an easier job. I had ordered the kit, witch contains the mounting ring and harnesses and a couple of butt splices. It was not necessary. I did however need to buy a separate harness for the headlight: Harness for Dual Beam Headlights H4 to H9/H11. Got one from Amazon (same day delivery). The passing lights plugged right into the existing harness, took less than 10 minutes to install both of them with only a short #2 Phillips. The headlight went in just as easily, needing only a #2 Phillips once again. The harness I received from Amazon plugged right in and worked perfectly, however it appears that the H9 and H11 plugs are interchangeable, I didn't test this as I got lucky the first time. Its sunny and 82 degrees here in Florida so I won't see the real difference until I head to the ACE Cafe tonight for bike nite. My buddy rides a 1941 Indian with a 6 volt electrical system and a very dim sealed beam headlight, I'll probably stun him. I hope some of this helps anyone who is interested.
