Default FP3 auto tune support...

has anyone requested and received a tune from v&h with the o2s turned off in the tune so you could auto tune and prevent crosstalk.

thanks

I haven't, but I'd be curious to see what the outcome is.

How are you going to get an 02 signal, required for auto tune, with the 02's disabled?

I agree I think you need the o2's to adjust the map in auto tune

If the question you asked. Is what you meant to ask.I don't believe that's possible. Since it needs the o2 sensors to make a assessment of rich and lean programing and calculations. I am not an engineer but I read up on how it works and they (sensors) are differently needed. Good luck

O2 sensors provide the feedback needed to autotune. Cant do one without the other. Run the tune they sent, check your milage and if decent (38-42mpg) and no pinging or decel pops, enjoy as is.

Are you thinking that because the cats are removed, the 02's will no longer function correctly? They will and yes, they are needed for autotune. Even if you tune manually, they will still read and provide feedback data needed for the FP3.

Hard to say if just actual data or if invalid if tunes proper with cat removed...there is repeated information on both sides all over the internet. I can only say that I was able to auto tune last year with lots of green cells with a decat. Was the tune valid? Never dynod so cant prove. I did get 48mpg on the highway and 36-40 around town and plugs looked good. This year I switched to a Cobra PowerPort header, auto tuned once so far with similar results for around town, did more for sound and look and because leaving well enough alone is not my thing.
