Default 07 Front engine mount

At 7k miles my new Ultra acted weird. I let up on the clutch with Momma on the back and the engine sounded and felt like it was coming out of the frame. Something obviously broke. Severe shaking with enough noise that the other 2 bikes riding ahead of us heard it and stopped to see what was wrong. When I take off in 1st gear, if I don't have the revs high enough it will start doing it again. I have to pull in the clutch and raise the revs quickly to stop it, My dealer mechanic took it for a ride and said it was engine knock and was fine. I know that's BS because it never did it before. They also dyno tuned the bike. I've got nearly 10k on it now. I was riding this week and noticed that going around sweeping turns the bike feels like I'm on a bridge grating or a groove in the road. It has that eerie feeling wobble. I'm pretty sure it's the mount but when I look at it I can't seem to see anything wrong with it. Any help out there?

I dont know but on a similar note... I took my 06 street glide in for a 5K service and when I picked it up yesterday the mechanic was going over the bill. The first thing he said was that they fixed the motor mount under warranty. I told him I didn't know anything was wrong with it. He sort of laughed and said it was "just wore out". I dont see how after 5000 miles the motor mount could be just wore out. After I left I did notice how much better the shake was. I actually could use my mirrors again. Maybe the motor mount was broke already when I bought it with 1300 miles on it. Maybe that is what is wrong with yours too. I don't want to have to replace the motor mount every 5000 miles though. Good luck on getting yours fixed.

My front motor mount and about every other bolt on the bike was hand tight from the factory. After torqueing virtually every bolt on it I had a different machine. I bitched about the PDI or the lack of PDI but to no avail. I think the dealers PDI was to wash the blue off of the whitewalls.

When I picked up my 07 Ultra I also had some loose bolts and loose air lines for the rear air shocks. Was missing the seat hold down bolt, so everytime I would get into a turn, the seat would keep shifting making it feel like you were going across a bridge grating. I had the seat bolt replaced and checked every other nut/bolt/screw on it myself. No other problems since. What about your tire pressure and rear air suspension? I noticed that small drops in pressure make a difference in handeling.
