Default vibration

Intense vibration started about 3 weeks ago. Checked all motor mounting bolts and found the lower bolt on front motor mount loose. Bolt would not torque, so I backed out the bolt and found shavings, like the bolt had stripped the nut, on the bolt. Took to stealer under warranty, stealer say's vibration is not "abnormal". Prior to this occurance I could actually use my mirrors and not have my hands go numb after half an hour of riding. Stealer says motor mount torques properly and there's no warranty issue. I've ridden this bike for a year and yes it "vibrates", but hasnot been this bad. Should I be pushing for a new front motor mount or should I just suck it up and wish I bought a "b" motor model?

I would explain what you said here, to the dealer. Keep persuing it until they listen. If not, contact the Moco directly.

On second thought....let them perform the vehicle alignment procedure for you. If that doesn't solve the vibe issue, then have them pull the front isolator for inspection. I'm sure they didn't do that this last time.

So the stealer torqued a stripped bolt?????

I would push you to a new stealer.

Back at stealer, talked to service manager who says theyll do a closer inspection on mount. Mechanic who worked on bike previously admitted he hadn't much experience with dynas, and wasn't sure how much vibration was "normal". 'll update when I hear back from them.

Smile vibes?

I am still wondering how your dealer torqued a stripped bolt hole?

Back from the absolute last time I visit this stealer. I explained for the fourth time the situation and they tell me the tech, who by the way is not available, says the tire pressure was low so it should ride much better and the "vibration" is normal. I may not be the smartest tool in the box but it PI**ES me off when you insult me with BS. I had already explained to the 1st service guy that I rode to rpm and gear that produced maximum vibration and pulled in the clutch, vibes drop to almost nill, TIRE PRESSURE! - give me a friggin break. So after chillin with my friend alcohol, I pulled the lower front motor mount bolt. I'll try to post a pic of the metal stuck to the bolt. Guess my next step is Motorco. Might as well get the paper trail started.
Give me your thoughts on the bolt.

Mas, not a good sign at all.

Would the dealer even look at it that far? Is there another in the area you can try?

Default As much as I defend them at times....

this is why so many dealerships have such a bad rap. That's just not right.

Keep pressing and look for another dealer if one is close.
