Default New Seat

I have recently did a quick release tour pak on my 11 limited and bought a Street Glide seat to use while riding. Last week we got out on the only nice day so far this season and I had to put the touring seat back on because my GF prefers the softer pad.
The issues I noticed was how far the touring seat pushes me forward and into the gas tank.

I dislocated my left leg at the hip while serving in the Airborne Infantry and it has always given me issues while I ride on long trips. Since I have been using the SG seat I have noticed I do not have my legs spread as far apart and that I do not hurt after riding for hours at a time.

My question is, what is a good seat that gives me the space like the SG seat and the padding for my GF like the touring seat.

Thanks
Chris

Try a Sundowner. Your local dealer should have a demo seat for you to trial for a couple of days at no charge.

I did some research on that seat and some were saying it pushes them forward compared to the SG seat. Is this something you noticed?

I will get down to the dealer when it stops snowing and raining here in Central Pa, but just wanted some opinions on HD seats or aftermarket seats that might meet my needs.

Thanks

If you don't use a backrest try the Tallboy seat

The Mustang low down touring seat is narrow in the front and has a nice pad for the passenger.
I had a sundowner, mustang was a better seat for me.

I am not sure but i don't think so. I run a hammock but my friend has a tallboy on his RK and he didn't have to do a thing.

My two cents. If you're a long legged guy like me (34" inseam) I will always recommend a Corbin seat. Pricey but worth every penny as it sets you down and back while also allowing you to hug the tank with your legs, and for me it's an all day seat. I have a gambler seat on one of my rides and a dual touring seat (best comfort for the passenger) on the other. I am not a fan of HD seats. It's the first thing to go when I get a new bike, and is the most important upgrade you can make I think. Damn good looking too. Browse ebay for a deal, I recently picked up the dual touring seat for $340 shipped there, half price! Hope that helps.

I just bought a Mustang Super Solo and love it. It sits you back 1.25". Then you can get a pillion to match in 11" or 13.5". That way you can solo it out when she isn't riding with you and take the tour pak off. Then put the comfy pillion on when she does.
