Sorry to hear about your situation White Glide. I too love the Crushed ice color and found out there is no white being offered for the SG or RG in 2019.
So today I find myself a newly single man. I have a 16 SG Standard turned into special that is paid off. It has just under 17k miles. I bought an 18 SG Special in October for the now former ole lady. It only has less than 800 miles on it. That is obviously no where near paid off.
I love my SG and I have been working to get it where I have wanted it. Still a long way to go of course.
I will not ride the bike that she was riding.
Should I try to privately sell the 18 SG and lose who knows how much money while still making payments until it sells knowing that it could be a while? Why by this one used when I can buy that one new...
Should I trade in the 16 AND the 18 SG and get myself an 18 RG? Again, who knows how much money I will lose on that!
Should I wait this out until the 2019 models come out? Try to privately sell the 18 SG in the meantime?
I welcome suggestions and input, especially if you have been in this situation.
Sell it privately or sell it to a dealer. No matter how you look at it you're losing money. Waiting won't make it any easier. A tube of KY may, though. Sell it and be done with it. People will buy yours versus a new one because yours will be priced lower. Unless, of course, you are one of those owners that believe it is worth twice it's actual value.

It doesn't matter what colors they offer in the '19 model year. You can have a bike painted any color you want.
This is the way I look at it... price it to sell. Every month you try selling at the price you "want" which is going to be more than you'll get, you'll bleed $600 a month trying to sell it. Waiting 4-6 months to get the price you want, but won't, will have cost you $2400-3600 extra anyway. Might as well price it that much under NADA/KBB anyway. Or close to it.
Price it right and move it ASAP if you have no intention to keep it.

I agree that paint can be changed. But that is a hefty tag on it.
MSRP for new is $28,999. Would $27k be reasonable?

So $25-$26 k for the bike would be reasonable you think?
Sell it. List it - as mentioned - to sell quickly. Making payments while waiting for the right time and price while bleeding cash is an emotional choice.
Take the loss. Sorry about your situation though. Good luck!
Trading ,or selling both bikes will put you in a better situation, Lose a little on the 18, all profit on the 16, and you get a new bike of your choice, Happy , happy
