Zephyr Vent Shield
Has anyone tried the Zephyr vent shield from Long Ride Shields? I'm thinking about trying one to level out the buffeting. I have two of their recurve shields and I like them. I'm told that the fairing vent on the 2014 and up touring models does a great job although I haven't ridden one yet. Thanks..

The fairing vent, in some form or other, has been around since the 1970s IIRC. A problem with a fairing and/or windshield is that they create a partial vacuum at speed, into which air rushes, hence causing turbulance and discomfort for the rider and passenger. The vent allows a controlled amount of air behind the shield, to reduce that problem. I haven't ridden the latest touring bikes either, but I have used a vent on older bikes with a degree of success, even on my Buell Firebolt!
