I'll second the Dremel tool. Using the small cutting wheels you can cut a screwdriver slot in just about anything. Works great......have done it many times in different applications. Beats easy outs, impacts, whatever hands down.

Thanks for all the replies. I used the dremmel and cut a slot. Came right out then. I was discarding the inside chrome bracket anyway so didnt care if I scratched it. BTW...It is allen head (small) and I replaced with a phillips button head. Dont see it anyway.
