I have used the Dynabeads, for the life of me no one could balance my tires on the trailer, the guy said we came as "close as we could " ....hell i threw in there 2oz of the beads, what a pleasure to pull my trailer....they work!!!!
On my SGS and RK i use RIDE-ON....work just as well, if you don't overfill the tires, the "material" needs to be semi hard and if you have a bike that is stationary for a long time it pools to the bottom.....but it works well in balancing the tires.

Either one works as advertised and really well!!!!

Welp, that does it. I'm a believer! I'll likely be going the Ride On route as soon as my new tires are put on. I too like the added safety benefit for an unanticipated puncture

Thanks for all your replies

Actually the tires are balanced to a degree. The ones that are "out of spec" are usually stamped with the red "dot" on them to show the lightest side. In most balancing, you will find the wheel itself out of balance more so than the tire.

I bought a new Ultra limited in August. I pulled the sticky weights off, bought ceramic balance beeds off Ebay. I put 3-4 oz in the rear tire, 2-3 oz in the front, no problems, smooth as glass.

Replacing the rubber to the rim is about the only thing I leave for my indy to do and everything is done at one low price. I cant see paying to fixing something that ant broken , but wow nothin like new tires

I initially used Dynamic Balancing Beads in a Land Rover a few years ago that had off-road tyres on that were notoriously difficult to balance. 8 ounces were needed in each tyre, they worked a treat. A few months after buying my Softail I lost a couple of the stick on weights. Rather than get the wheel removed and rebalanced the quickest and easiest solution was to remove the rest of the weights and pour 2 ounces of beads into the tyre, I also did the front whilst I was at it. As somebody else stated 'smooth as glass' even at 'higher than one should' speeds. Have heard the virtues and possible advantages of Rideon but never tried it, would highly recommend giving Dynamic Balancing Beads a try over weights any day.
