I initially used Dynamic Balancing Beads in a Land Rover a few years ago that had off-road tyres on that were notoriously difficult to balance. 8 ounces were needed in each tyre, they worked a treat. A few months after buying my Softail I lost a couple of the stick on weights. Rather than get the wheel removed and rebalanced the quickest and easiest solution was to remove the rest of the weights and pour 2 ounces of beads into the tyre, I also did the front whilst I was at it. As somebody else stated 'smooth as glass' even at 'higher than one should' speeds. Have heard the virtues and possible advantages of Rideon but never tried it, would highly recommend giving Dynamic Balancing Beads a try over weights any day.
If I may be so bold... how are the beads inserted on a mounted tire?
Dyna beads in my tires, wife's trike tires and all my friends who are now believers. Smooth as glass. As far as beads all over during tire changes, I remove tire , tip on its end and scoop out beads for reuse. The few left I can't get out I vacuum out. Never had issues with too much spillage.
