I switched back to Mobil(which I had been running for previous 25k).At 30k I switched to Spectro 25w-60 dino and won't go back to synthetic. Motor is quiet....
I've been using Castrol's Actevo.
It is a combination oil part syn and part dino as I seem to think that the all syns make my top end too tick ticky.
Reasonably priced too.
I see zero reason why that wouldn't be an absolutely fine oil to use. It's a great price and will NOT hurt your motor. Give it a shot and let us know.
Fo another good deal......I put in Mobil1 15w-50 in both my 2003 Fatty and 2009 RoadKing (crank case only) and they both run awesome. You can get this at Walmart for $25 for a 5 quart jug. Totally safe to use in the crankcase and was recommended by Mobile1 themselves.
Over the years I have used Castrol Oil in a number of my Honda & Yamaha Dirt Bikes it's good.
John
Used the superbike version in my YZ250 and 450 race bikes for years. Still using the superbike version in my FLHR clutch and the clutch loves it. Great oil in my opinion, but why waste that in the crankcase?
Last oil change Auto Zone didn't have enough M1 on shelf to cover my crankcase and Primary. Ended up buying the Castrol instead for the crank and Primary. M1 75-90 syn gear lube for tranny. No complaints..
Wow! Didn't mean to start 'another' oil thread but I really appreciate the replies and opinions. I'll likely go ahead and use it (or I might just return it and go for the Bel-Ray😑!) and report back at some point 😎
