Lithium battery

took off passenger foot boards for pegs
got rid of rear bumper
lighter wheels with Lyndall composite rotors
Street stalker fender with aluminum spacers/adapters
CCE aluminum top triple tree
shorter windsheld.
RK . But the difference is not that much. Any of the others can be lowered That makes it manageable. My sister at 5 foot 3 rode a dresser and at the time she was about 120 lbs.

Was that around $2500 for all this? Making a machine substantially lighter is usually expensive and then really expensive to make it dramatically lighter.

How does it feel?
probably more than 2500, but I would have made the changes anyway, the battery was the only thing I hadnt planned until the stock one was on its way out. it feels much lighter, due to the fact that the CCE tour trac with Ricor/Racetech front end and poly risers give a tighter more controlled ride. I have a set of JRI shocks ready to install, that should hopefully be a plus.
What was the weight savings with the CCE tour trac? I know the handling improves because of the superior design but I did'nt know it was lighter than the stock top clamp
Actually, the Street Glide weighs less than the Road King. But only by a few lbs. And its been that way for years. Just hit up the MOCO SITE and compare.
The issue with the two bikes is WHERE the weight is. The street glides weight is up high and forward due to its fork mounted fairing packed full of electronics. Where as the Road Kings added weight is lower on the bike with added accessories, rear crash bars, chrome trim...etc. Doesnt sound like much, but it adds up. But the location of the weight down low, vs up high, is why the Road King handles so well, for the barge that it is.
