I think I made that same ride. I was on the 350 UJM.

You have paid your dues. Just stop every half hour and enjoy life.

Now I just stop whenever the wife wants, which is about every 15 minutes.

When I was young I never stopped because of body pain (1000 mile round trip home on the weekends also daily 200 mile round trip commute) but now I need to pee every hour or so. If your bike is set up properly (seat/bars/screen/pegs/suspension) it shouldn’t hurt ya.

Bodies age at different rates so your number isn't as important as your problem. If it seems to be hips and the wide tank, you might want to consider adding lowers to your machine. I never noticed until someone mentioned it years ago, at highway speed without lowers the wind tries to move your knees away from the tank. That effects your hips and leg muscles and can make you tired and uncomfortable fighting that hour after hour. When making a trip, I am quite "goal oriented" and try to make 150 to 180 miles per tank, but after the second hour I get hot spots on my butt and even squirming around is little help. Any stop after 2 hours is welcome. Until I have unloaded morning coffee, even a full hour without a stop can stretch things. Just cruising around, having to put feet down at traffic lights and stop signs seems to be enough movement to stay comfortable. I also had one knee that gave me fits until I shimmed the foot board to tilt in slightly. Knee pain was gone after that. Something subtle like that or changing the angle of the foot boards may be a lot more help than the small change would seem to make. I am 73 and still try to do a trip from Oklahoma City to Denver every year. What stops on on the trip to Denver is the setting sun lying right on the highway, it is blinding so I stop. On the trip home, the sun is behind me and can do the 700 miles in one day.

If I'm out on a trip I usually run the first tank out then stop about every 100 to stretch the legs ... Usually have "Red" (my better half) with me

If I have a destination I'm trying to get to I can ride until the tank needs refilled. But just out for a ride I stop when I see something I want to look at, take pictures or just want to.

65 YO and we ride two up.
On long trips, we start early and end early.
Riding through an unfamiliar twn in the dark is the recipe for a wreck.
We try to do 100 miles between stops and usually accomplish this .

My good friend in Prescott, AZ had his Rode Glide Ultra custom seat made by https://day-long.com/ best money he ever spent. I’ve been looking at the Hammock, but for a little more, I’ll probably have them do one for me. He also did different handlebars because he has T-Rex arms and now he can lean back and enjoy the ride. He said he rode to Houston TX only stopping for fuel food and was comfy the whole way.

I'm inches away from 55. I still do the odd 800 mile day when solo. Usually stop every 2 hrs or so. Have arthritis in my lower back which can cause me fits if I have been skipping the gym. Highway pegs are set just off my floorboards so I can rest my toes on them which allows me to stretch my legs. Going an hour and half between stops isn't bad at all. Enjoy the ride. Lots of people can't.
