Good luck with that! Impossible! Been there done that. Ended up with 4" Rineharts. The DNT's sound great, but they're impossible to properly tune.

Back-pressure is a myth. You want exhaust gas velocity, to maximize scavenging.
Here's a great video on the principles of exhaust flow. It's about car exhaust, but still very true for cycles.

The 4" Rineharts would probably fill the bill. Louder than the Monsters Rounds but not overly loud.

OP, are you saying you have supertrapp slip-ons? Those disks are for tuning. They're supposed to be pretty good. But if you're looking for sound without the loss of performance, check out the Fuel Moto site. They have some pro touring slip-ons that look like the DNT's, sound really good (ear of the beholder) perform awesome and are extremely affordable.

thats what im thinking but im trying to figure out where they fit in compared to the sticks and the ho with quiet baffle

the night sticks are on the bike now amd i cant stand them. Ive never heard super tra0s sound good on amything ever so im not even wamting to fool with them. Some people like them, i just dont.

i've got the v&h monster squared and really love the low rpm growl. they rumble really good at idle as well.
