I have a 2010 Ultra Classic with 65,000 miles on it. Every once in a while I get a very loud ticking sound clearly coming from the engine. It usually stops in a few seconds, maybe 30 seconds on average and then doesn't happen again for several weeks. I always change the oil on time and usually use Mobil 1. I did flush the crankcase with Seaform last year but this does not seem to have an effect on the problem. My questions is this a sticking lifter?
the lifter is possibly 'bleeding out', temporally losing its hydraulic function. Maybe something you should take in for service. I am only taking a stab at it but something is not right in the valve train.

Thank You
If those are the original lifters it's time to change them out anyway.
Lifters don't really 'stick' but they can bleed down, or have the cam roller bearing go bad and cause intermittent clicking. If it goes to constant clicking you may have bigger problems.
Just swap them out, you're tempting fate if they are original.
