I don't know about motorcycle run flats. I know Gooyear has had run flat tires for cars for several years. I visited their test track in San Angelo, Tx back about early 1970's when they were testing it.

i ran em for years at work..... never had a flat, but they are not meant to be ridden anywhere flat...they are meant to prevent a crash from rapid loss of air....the story i was told is chip tests them by puncturing both tires at 70mph.... supossedly they do work....im not up for that testing, i was told not for sale to public....but it appears not to be adheared to in this area
