Hi I have a 2004 FLHRCI Roadking with extra wide Beach Bars on ( that I hate ) & wanna swap for 10" or 12" apes without changing any cables ? I will have to fit a new brake line I know but would like to know what bars to buy ? I think 1" but what size with the minimal of fuss, any advice appreciated thanks Guy
I put a set of Wild One's W0515's on my 05 Road King Custom, 10" mini apes.
These are MUCH better than the stock beach bars that came on the bike.
I kept all the original cables, even the brake line and throttle cables.
Had to bend the brake line to fit, very easy to do, and the throttles and clutch are pretty much at the limit, but work just fine.
Also had to clip the ties and reroute the clutch cable, it works good, but it at the limits.
Total cost was $215 including $5 worth of wire used to extend the controls wiring.
Got the bars at M&M cycles for $210 delivered.
I just installed 10 inch chubby wild one outlaws on my 12 king: I like the style and they are good quality. I have throttle by wire and that was the only extension I needed.

If you would go higher but need cables I'd do that. Silly to not be as comfortable as you can be just to keep those hideous stock garden hoses
I think they are/ the reason I went with the outlaws is the degree in pullback/ I prefer my wrist straight out compared to the ones that have your wrist at an angle
thanks Keithhu but its hard enough getting HD parts in the UK as it is without having to start extending things, take what ever it costs you in the states & double it for us in the UK & Trump isn't helping with his new Tariffs, the HD market in the UK is great at the moment but it will grind to a halt if all these tariffs start, I am stocking up on Jack Daniels as we speak lol
