Default Saddle bag top

I have a 2010 Ultra. Every time the wife gets of the bike she ends up dragging her boot across the top of the saddle bag. Scuffing up the paint. SO far I have been able to buff them out, but eventually I'm guessing they won't. Looking for some sort of protection for the top of the bags. I saw the bras on the Harley website, but they got awful reviews so those are out. I have seen clear plastic covers in the past, but have heard bad about them as well. Wondering if anyone has had any success with anything. Or if you could suggest a good training program for the ole lady. No matter how many times I tell her to be carful she still drags her boots. Thanks for any ideas.

Have her swing her leg towards the gas tank. My corbin seat with backrest leans that way. Either that or have her spend the time on the lid everytime she mars it

I use mustang covers on my saddlebags. Never had a problem with them, nor any damage from using them.
