If the heat is an issue for you Please check us out .. We make a product called a crotch cooler and it works .. If you have any questions just let us know ..
I wrapped my stock non-cat header right after I got the bike 6-7 years ago, also wrapped the fullsac on it now but to be honest I don’t think it did much to get rid of any heat... has a buddy with a triglide the dealer actually wrapped the header trying to get rid of the heat, that didn’t work either... a proper tune is the answer!

I still have heat shielding on my bike. It helps, but when I get off the freeway on HOT days there's still more heat than I want rising from the right side of the engine.
I hesitated to try the Capt Itch product till last year because of looks. I bought the plain black leather shield and it's easy enough to put on for the hot riding part of the year. It has more effect to keep the heat off of me than anything else I've tried because it works when the air flow slows down at slower bike speeds.
DK Custom Products has some reports on their website talking about engine cooling that might help too. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...e-project.html
Before adding fuel tuner I could not sit at any light for more than a minute above 90 degrees without burning right leg as the heat from header w/cat was unbearable. Shortly following heat management system would shutdown front cylinder. Removed cat, added fuel tuner, no more heat & 9k miles ambient temps reaching 98 degrees for several minutes at light and heat management system has never engaged once. Problem solved.

2012 FLHR (Road King) Stage II Red Ember Sunglo/Merlo Sunglo, Original HD Chrome Laced Profile Aluminum Spoke Tubeless Rims, ABS, Cruise Control, Security Package, Saddlebag LED Spoiler lights, and array of nostalgic & performance accessories that enhances appearance & blood curdling performance.
Its a shame there is nothing available today that can measure white knuckles & big a$$ smiles.
