Same here...happened to me on my '07 RKC on Friday. Pulled into a gas station almost immediately after the light went on, and was only able to pump 4 gals.

Owners manual states the light comes on with 1 gal left on my Ultra. Got the typical 5 gal tank and mileage seems to agree with this theory. Hope it helps!

Mine always came on around 4 gals, but this weekend I needed 4.5 gals to top off and the fuel light never came on.

I went about 35 miles before I got out of the mountains to a gas station. I didn't gountil my bike stalled due to lack of fuel though.

uhhh... what? [sm=confused06.gif]

The last time I filled up shortly after the light came on was able to pump about 4.3 gallons into the tank. I don't know about the rest of you, but my guage seems to go pretty slow from Full to the half mark and then race like hell towards the empty line. I go by mileage now. I start hunting for fuelwhen I get to 140 miles on a tank. The most I have ever gone was to 172 miles and I was sweating. I think I pumped 4.7 gallons into it that time...[sm=alcoholic.gif]

Mine shines at around 4 gals used. Averaging a pretty nice 45+ mpg no matter how fast or slow I ride.

I've gone 30 miles a couple of times after the light comes on.
