Ok anybody test how far they can go after low fuel light comes on, I can put in 5 gallons after the light comes on, just wonder how much range is really there????
Same here...happened to me on my '07 RKC on Friday. Pulled into a gas station almost immediately after the light went on, and was only able to pump 4 gals.
Owners manual states the light comes on with 1 gal left on my Ultra. Got the typical 5 gal tank and mileage seems to agree with this theory. Hope it helps!
I went about 35 miles before I got out of the mountains to a gas station. I didn't go to my bike stalled due to lack of fuel though.
uhhh... what? [sm=confused06.gif]
The last time I filled up shortly after the light came on was able to pump about 4.3 gallons into the tank. I don't know about the rest of you, but my guage seems to go pretty slow from Full to the half mark and then race like hell towards the empty line. I go by mileage now. I start hunting for fuelwhen I get to 140 miles on a tank. The most I have ever gone was to 172 miles and I was sweating. I think I pumped 4.7 gallons into it that time...[sm=alcoholic.gif]
