I don't know about ABS, never did one of those, might take a different approach, just don't know. Might try a new thread asking if anyone has done ABS bearings with a Pit Posse or one like it. Other than a possible ABS problem, haven't heard of any Harleys the Pit Posse won't work on, but I haven't worked on one as new as yours, either. A lot of guys on the forum have mentioned using them, none with any fit problems, but I don't know if any of those were your models.
overkill or not, I change bearings when I change rubber. Just changed the rear and 4 bearings. The bike carries valuable cargo, worth more than $100 for bearings
On your 08, you'll have to unbolt your IDS, but otherwise it will work fine...ABS included
Thanks.
Do you know if the 08's and 12's (Ultras) both use the same bearing size? 25mm? Just trying to verify this PP kit will work on both bikes. Sounds like it will but hate to order then have to return something. Thanks.
Edit to add: anti-seize on new bearings? or grease? (when installing). Reading different things here and there. Thanks again.
Reading the CVO forum I ran across this....have not seen this mentioned here in any bearing threads I've read here.
What is the reason for installing a specific side first? Thanks.

I guess you haven't read many of my bearing posts ...in fact one addresses the JIMS and Pit Posse instruction Errors explicitly
With very few exceptions (and maybe none on OE wheels), the 1ST/TOP quote is correct...The 2nd quote would be INCORRECT...because it does NOT apply to Sportsters

I have no idea, wonder how many know of this procedure and have or not followed it........
165,000 miles on my '00 Road Glide. Changed the bearings out at 100,000 miles (didn't need to,) and the second set are still in there. Harley changed (and f*cked up,) the new bearings beginning in 2008.
