Finally made my mind up on which RK to get between RK Custom or RK Road Glide. I went with the Custom...I liked the fact that I can dress it up for long rides or strip it down for local cruising. Plus itseemed tofit me the best.Took it out on it's first 100 mile run this weekend and I loved it. Anyway, few weeks ago I posted thread asking for opinions on the bikes and I wanted to thank all those who responded. You all had great suggestions. Here's a picture of my new ride (not the best pic; I'll post a better one later)

Thanks again!

Congrats!!!! and that helps keep the price down with the lesser demand for our Road Glides.

I like the custom. My brother-in-law has one as a garage ornament. He's had it three years and hasn't put 2,000 miles on it yet. At 6'4" the bike isn't a good fit for me. It's lowered and the beach bars bug me, butI like the clean lines and the hard leather bags. Enjoy the new scoot and ride safe.

I bought the FLHRI last year becuase it's a great cruising bike and you can strip it down and it's a great around town bike too, plus I just love the look of it.

congrats on your new ride. I'm sure you will be happy with your decision. All the touring bikes are awesome. I agree ... you can get a detachable fairing if you want.. and dress it up to a Ultra if you want.. and back down to a custom. Very flexible.

Good choice. Nice color. I have heard they are doing away with the black cherry in '08. Glad you got yours.

I am on the fence with this same decision, the custom or a RG.I too am a big guy and maybe the custom is too small, but bars and seats can make a big diference i think. the custom was definetely the first bike i go to when i stop at the dealer. Oh and just to add, most of the riding i do will be short cruises, mabe 100 or so miles. what do you guys think?
