What do I think? If you have a problem with vibration, I doubt if a Harley Davidson is your motorcycle. That's the nature of the beast, from time immemorial. I see a Gold Wing in your future. No offense meant, but sheesh...
I have ride Harleys more then a few people. Road to Arctic Cirlce. I would be happy without vibration. It is hard on parts and at the end of hard day, hard on you. It is just a novety these days they do to keep baby boomers thinking there bagger is chopper.
I am concerned about extra equipment in the motor. The softail owners don't ride as much, so not an issue for them. Though we got timing chains already. Though that is easier to get at.

Just think how great these bikes will be when the bab boomers die. Also the reliability they will have to put in. since they won't have a crowd that will just eat it and smile.

So wait, ya'll think that a 20k bike that sits at a light shaking so hard you have to loctite every nut and bolt is a GOOD thing? .... not only is it uncomfortable, but aesthetically, it looks ridiculous.
....... whatever
.... that's the problem w/riding your harley from stoplight to stoplight
.... too much time w/yer feet down, worryin' about how ya look .... aesthetically
.......... at 80mph on the open road, mine's as smooth as a baby's butt

So, let me get this straight. Harley's shook too much until 2019. Now you are worried they will make them quit shaking all together and that's a problem? I don't understand.
There are many high quality motorcycles available that don't shake at all. They are highly reliable, and are often much less expensive than the equivalent Harley Davidson.
So to me...and I bet I'm not alone...buying an obsolescent Harley and crying about vibration is simply asinine!

, a thinking man's statement, interesting.
I guess i will keep my rushmore. ( forever, if not longer)
I have not ridden the new softail's but those bikes look very nice.
cheers

I know I'm trolling here, and my bike is an 07 FXST, so you know my stance on this, but...please explain the enjoyment of all that vibration. My opinion, and yes, I've owned them, not only is it uncomfortable, but aesthetically, it looks ridiculous./QUOTE]"
Hey this guy admits to trolling. good posture on your part. I dont think you 'get it'. Harley's are unique retro modern beautiful kinda like a work of art, people like me buy these bikes because they have style and class and are FUN. I can see why harley riders get scared when Harley tries to take out the quality's that make it a Harley.JMO.
Agreed that the M8/114 in the new Heritage had a weird vibe to it.
Not as smooth as my TC. Quicker. LOTS of torque. That's all.
Susp, brakes etc. That's another story. FAR superior to the
earlier Softail
