Default Engine vibration ???

Have 2009 Electra Glide Classic 96 CI

I notice, barley/slightly, a vibration, around 2500/3000 rpms...
Just wondering if this is somewhat normal.

I notice it going thru the gears.... so I don't think it's the Primary or gears...

Like I said barely noticeable. So I;m thinking it a feature....

I have 1999 Softail Evo, and the Evo's definitely have a vib. at certain rpm, just a feature of those.
The EVO is much more noticeable than the TC.

So I was wondering if it was the same with the TC.

Check your engine mounts.
I've never noticed a vibration on my Electra Glide other than the shaking at idle.
I hear oil can destroy the lower front mount if you let the oil run on it when changing the filter.

To clarify, this isn't noticeable when cruising, only when accelerating and when you get to 25-3000 rpm....range. and as mentioned barely noticeable.

2500-3000 is lugging the motor for other than cruising. You are hammering the bottom end at those RPMs with hard acceleration.

I usually shift before 3000. Peak torque is around 2800. My bike does not "lug" unless I roll on at below 2000. FTR, I have over 100,000 miles on my motor and it still runs strong.

I would go through and check the basics:
  • Condition of tires
    • any cuts
    • even wear
    • pressures
    • road tar on rims
    • wheel bearings
    • missing balance weights
  • Oil levels
  • motor mounts
  • exhaust mount bolts tight
  • handlebar mounts
  • etc.
