Fairing bolt receptable pulled loose
I am having trouble securing the "nut" end for one of the top fairing bolts at the windshield. It is that brass piece that is pressed into the inner fairing that has pulled out. I have tried "duraglass" which is my go-to fixer for things I can't seem to get to hold, but it didn't work. I mixed up some JB Weld and I am waiting for that to set up and see if that works.
Is there any fix's that anyone can pass along?

The dealer has replacements that screw in rather than press in. Common problem. If you buy the replacements from the dealer you will see they have a slot in them. The slot is not to be used to screw them in, it is for allowing threads to be cut. Put the screw into the replacement, screw it into the inner fairing until tight and then remove the screw.

I have a set of the screw ins around here somewhere. Jb weld has been working fine for 2 years though.

Been a while now but mine is still holding with the JB Weld fix....This seems to be the most common solution if you don't want to purchase the replacement inserts.
