A buddy of mines that owns a 4 Bikes want trade for my new stock motor and $500 for a brand new 103 screaming Eagle motor and tranny with a Cam of my choice. He works for Harley and said he will install it for me for $200 if I help him. What should I do? Since this is my Street bike should I get use the bike first before upgrading or just make the jump now. This deal seem to good to pass up.
Ok, so it sounds like $700.00 for a new 103 screamin' eagle engine installed in your bike, you help him, he does the work and leaves with your original engine. Is the SE 103 stolen? It's that good of a deal, I would be asking a few questions.
I asked all those questions. He stated that he have all the reciepts and invioces on the motor from Harley. The motor will come with the factory waranty also. He stated he just wanted me to keep up with him on the highway. I just dont want to kill my for the price of $700 dollars.
If it where me I wouldn't do it. No way. First of all I think the SE103" motors are freakin ugly I can't stand the silver. The SE bikes them selfs are nice but that silver, no way!!! I wouldn't let any one put one in my frame even if they pay me. Just my opinion Don't care for the SILVER.
Why does your buddy want your motor anyway? I'm sure you will be able to keep up with him just fine the SE 103" isn't that much faster.
