Wanted to let you guys/gals know of a problem I had in hopes of saving you some trouble. I have about 1900 miles on mine when I noticed the FM station not coming in real good, I thought it was just my location. Last night we rode about three hours and our friends said that the brake light was not coming on, I also noticed I had no light for the cruise. So today I pulled it all apart to wash it and look for the problem, well I found it.
Might want to check yours and see if the harness is close to the belt. I know it was not that way a few weeks ago, and must have worked it’s way loose and slid onto the belt.
I realize it's a quick fix, but unless people take this kind of stuff to the dealer it will continue to be a problem. One of the quickest ways for any consumer product company to firgure out a problem is to go to the consumer data. That may be a call center, warranty center, or anything like this. At least make them aware of it.
