Good luck with the trade.

my local dealer has some 07's left, one dealer two hrs away has one, its deep cobalt, not my first choice of color though. I am hoping the deal looks good, I know my wife would ride more if it were more comfortable. She works on the weekends though so getting time together is tough off the start. Not to hijack my own thread, but did ya go to Laconia petemac?? I had a great time, beautiful riding up there, but thats what got me started on getting something a little more "touring like"
Have an 07 RKClassic. It has the noisy tranny in 5th...some heavy shock helped....and my wife says the pipes on the right side cook her feet. She doesn't like to ride with me like she did on my other bikes. Will probably trade for something else if they do some fixes on the 08s or may even go to another brand. I love the look of the bike and the ride but if the wife ain't happy nobody is happy. Yeah I could stick another 1800 bucks into it to fix the heat problem but gotta tell you that I think it should come out of the box rideable. I'm not bothered by the heat like she is but just something to consider if you ride 2 up.
it doesn't look like I'll be joing the "touring" forum, the dealer I went to last night couldn't put it together, only wanted to give me 500 off an 07 road king and 9800 for my 06 super glide custom. But while I was at that dealer the other one I was talking to called and told my wife they would give me 10900..but I'll have to wait till tomorrow when the salesman comes back to work to see if they offer anything else. But as of now, it dont look to good. I suppose its meant for the better, I guess it was just a "wild hair" thing.
I can't believe with a few weeks to go before the '08's arrive he won't go lower than $500 off an '07. Does he know you know the '08's are coming out in a few weeks? I'd be expecting him to call me back and upping his offer. Once the '08's come out it's going to get harder to sell the '07's.
I'm really curious to see what's new on the '08's and what, if anything, they've done about the complaints on the tranny noise and the heat issue.

Glebo, isn't the Cycle Trader the place to sell your '06 Big Twin? You might even discover low-mileage FLHRs there that won't have 5th gear noises, EPA-induced exhaustheat and gold-mining salespeople! Didn't you learn your lesson the first time? Anyway, it's worth a look there or www.kbb.com for the true value of your Hog (Hog is a Registered Trademark of the Harley-Davidson corporation).
