Can't beat the looks and ride of a RKC. I have no 5th or 6th gear noise. Added SERT and S/E AC with Samson slip ons and it really cooled the bike down. Even the wife is not complaining about the heat. Heat really was never an issue at highway speeds even before adding the SERT. In stop and go traffic a Harley is going to be warm. With additions I've made, it gets pretty warm, but tolerable. Got caught in rush hour traffic in St. Louis the other day. It was 90+ degrees. 2 miles in first gear and stopping a lot. Like I said, it got pretty warm, but I was not getting fried thighs. BTW the bike performed well. No problems at all of overheating.
well i guess since i started this thread i can sort of hijack the hijack. Yeah we went up to MT Washington, was friggin GREAT They said that out of the 20 good days they get, the day we went up was one of the best. No wind, very clear, awsome view. I think I posted some pics on the "members meeting members" thread. I turned down the sticker at the admissions entry though. Don't need no stinkin sticker!
oops, just looked, i think i posted it in general discussion, cant remember the thread name.
the saleman did address some questions I had about the 08's, he said the MOCO shuold be adressing the gear noise and heat issue, but mostly he showed me the 08 colors. theres some nice colors for 08, mostly the same, but a few new ones also.
