Need license plate light help
Hey all. Well been a long couple weeks but I finally am almost done with making my 13 Ultra limited detachable. I will post the write up with some pics but it was easy just took a lot of time. Especially making the connectors under the seat. (Just follow the famous post on that one) Anyway I have a Road king light bar coming so I can relocate the license plate under the taillight assby. So I have the directional bar coming with the license plate frame from softbrake as well. I want to keep the fender tip light so the license light will be tapping into that connection. For those that have done similar how did you splice into the connection? Butt connector, regular splice connector or did you take the wire terminal out and add the wire and somehow re crimp (never done that before)?

I didn't splice anything. I just bought a laydown lense with the clear opening on the bottom which allows the running light to shine down on the plate. Never been jacked up by LEO's in 5 years since I did the conversion.
