Default Does external handlebar wiring include the fly by wire?

Want to change the handlebars on my 2013 RK Police model which has external wiring. Wondering if the external wires include the electronic throttle? I realize that threading the entire wiring is more work but figure it might as well get done if I have to mess with the fly by wire throttle.

No. The throttle wire is inside the bar. Once you disassemble you’ll see it’s near impossible to route it outside.

I will caution you to be VERY careful with the small green connector that's about 8 inches in from your grip. It can be very delicate. The pins are very thin and fragile. Most problems that occur changing bars often involve that connector

Thanks for the heads up. Changing bars on my old Harley with cable operated throttle was easy. Appears this will be more of a challenge even with the external wiring.

It's best to cut the green connector out and solder the wires together. Most people having issues after, or routing the wires was because they didn't remove the connector. The job is not that hard, just take your time and do one wire at a time.
