Default Rear brake issue....!!!HELP!!!

I have a 2010 ultra and the rear brake does nothing. The brake pedal moves very very little. Has anyone else ever had this happen before? Need help ASAP before leaving on a trip!!!!!

its common. Crack the line loose for the rear master cylinder and gently push the pedal down. If it moves, then work your way back. do it next at the ABS unit. keep going until you find whats not working.

I think you need to take it to someone who is knowledgeable about brakes. Hope you get it fixed for your trip.

Well, if that is the case then it is time to call the dealership local to you and have them come and get it with a trailer and figure it out.
Sounds unsafe to ride for yourself and those around you.
If it is the ABSunit, the dealership will have to repair anyways.

I second this ^^^
If you aren't familiar with braking systems you need to let someone who is work on them.
I agree that your symptoms sound like ABS failure. The HD ABS system generally fails by locking the pedal or lever or sometimes both. Right now the dealer is the only one that can repair it with a new ABS unit.
I don't know when your trip is but, if you want to ride your bike, I'd get it to your dealer as quickly as you can.

That one statement can lead one to assume the required maintenance (fluid flush/ABS exercise/fluid flush every two years) may not have been preformed therefore the ABS module could have failed. The ABS unit has separate ports and solenoids for the front and rear lines so either one or in rare cases both can fail. Be prepared to add several C-Notes to the cost of your trip if that ABS units has failed. She's a spendy fix.

For the record, it's the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU), not the ABS module. There is a recall for your bike.

Go here and enter your VIN - https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...e-recalls.html
