Default Oil Light Question

Hey all, recently got an 09 FLHX. Love it. Only 9,500 miles and comfy as a couch. However, the past couple rides I've gone to take, shortly after I start the bike, the red oil light comes on for a couple seconds, then goes away and doesnt come back on. Admittedly I don't ride every day, frankly, more like every 4 or 5 days. Do I have an issue or is it merely sensing an oil pressure issue, but once the bike runs for 5-7 seconds, and the oil is pumping again, it shuts off? Thoughts?

Check the connection of the wire to the oil pressure sending unit, if that's good I'd consider changing the sending unit for a new one.

On My 2008 street-glide the oil light comes on for about 2 or 3 seconds only when I change oil and filter. I prime the filter when installing best as I can with out making a mess. That being said, my bike can sit for months between start ups and I get no oil light at all. I just turned 36,000 miles today. Good luck and let us know how you make out ?

Electrical looks good, so I think I'm gonna pop for a new unit. Any reason I shouldn't replace it with the standard sending unit sold by J&P? Thanks guys
