Black s beautiful, Keeping my bike clean is part of what I enjoy about owning one. Everyone has a different idea of what they like, I see the younger riders like the fancy colors as well as the Yuppies, no offence.
I have a dark red (burgundy?) (whatever they call 04 Road King Red....is it Sierra Sunglow?) with black bags, tourpac, seats, fairing, etc. so have the best of both worlds.

Exactly the way I feel about it. Keeping my bike in tip-top shape cosmetically *and* mechanically is part of the enjoyment of riding.
Black bikes are replaced by insurance10-1 over all the other colors. Bluehairs like me and many others just simply say..Never saw him. Same thing for cars. Especially the darker grays. Know they are there and I know we see them. It's just the brain does not process it if it blends to black asphalt. I know, deny it all you want but when that little old bluehair pops you, I will tell you told you so.
Im always cautious around people who follow other people around waiting to yell I told you so. Maybe its the black leather jackets that make riders invisible. There always yellow helmets with green jackets.
Ironically, Black is Harleys cheapest color, but is the best resale color.
My 02 Dyna Super Glide is Vivid Black (also known as the fastest color), my 05 Dyna Low Rider is two-tone Aztec Red and Silver in a pearl and the 2013 Road Glide Ultra in Big Blue Pearl.
