Good day; Riders. A question for all you do-it-yourselfers; "When you replace a hand grip is there a better way to adhere the grip to the handlebar rather than using glue?"
I had to replace my grip and getting the glue off the handlebar was a nightmare. I tried every solvent known to man (and woman) and ended up using a sharp knife and scraping 90%
of the glue off. Emory cloth wouldn't touch it. I think it was a product called Black Widow glue.
I'm wondering if Double Sided carpet seam tape would work?
I'll wait to here opinions and suggestions before proceeding.
had the problem of the new grip turning on the bars.........so I wrapped the bars in electrical tape and then used grip glue........if I ever have to take it off, I'll cut it off and remove the tape.

You can get Harley Grips the newer models and they brag about NOT having to use glue. Avon grips do not require glue either.
Don't know what brand or style you're using?
