I heard through a reliable source that the 08's coming out of York will have ABS and throttle by wire.

I heard all water cooled and Metric. j/k
I wonder what would be involved in retrofitting a older model with ABS?

Throttle-by-Wire was confirmed for me last week by a HD General Manager of a large dealership near me.

What advatange does "throttle by wire" have over cable outside of a having no cable to adjust or break? Can't the "wire" break? My F-16 is "fly by wire", not "throttle by wire", so I'm confused.

it's all done through electric and motors. All the new cars have had it for years. No cables.

Some say, there is a lag in response? I had it in my 2005 Mustang GT & didn't notice any lag!

Seems like this "throttle by wire" would make the right handlebar much cleaner/leaner. Will it be internal or just one extrrnal wire.
