Im looking at a few kits including both rear fender and bags, nastyhog and fmotos both seem like really nice options for the price. Any experience with these or others?
Ok, so took off my fender and unpacked the NH one today, first impressions... looks amazing, the paint looks perfect.
1 issue I had is the hole for passenger seat wasnt wide enough to get the nut through, I used a tiny rotary tool to make it bigger, no big deal.
Also, as others suggested, the fender is to thick to get the nut through for the passenger rear seat, instead of following what others did and making the fender area thinner, I used silicone to hold it in place from underneath, im gonna let it cure for 24 hours now. It should be fine as long as I dont put too much pressure on the bolt when i screw it in (I hope...)...
I havent tried fitting it on the bike yet, but I will today or tomorrow and I'll post more pics... heres where I'm at so far.
So the holes to screw the fender onto the bike didnt line up perfectly, I was about 1/4 inch off, nothing a dremel couldnt fix... just made the holes a little bigger and remounted the female nuts to accept the screws.
If I may say so myself, it's looking BAD A-S-S.... Can't wait to put the bags on ... maybe tomorrow
