I know this will start a flury of OTHER chock posts ...
But I use three of these in my trailer.

Bought mine at a bike show last Winter and got them for $149 each and
with no shipping since I got them at the show.

20" from center....2 tie downs on each side....one pair in line with axle(one on each side for holding bottom of both handlebar and fender brace), use two straps for safety on each side in front...then one pair 20" out from center on each side at the pass footpegs(approx 52" from front tiedowns)...use the pass floorboard mounts to securely hold bike....use a chock up front, any brand is fine

Just a thought. Since all Harleys are not ridden from the factory to the dealer, you might ask the service guy how Harley ties them down in the crate. I know they use a ratchet straps but they could tell you where not to put them. You don't need to f'up handlebar bushings, or overcolapse forks and blow out seals.

Harbor Frieght has a real nice front wheel Chock for somewhere close to $40. Once the front wheel is in the chock everything else gets easier.

For those who say NEVER trailer a bike I feel envious that you never have to consider anyone but yourself and maybe one other whenever you travel. You are truely blessed.

Butthere arethose of us who have families and may need to take along 3, 4, or maybe even more others with us when we travel it is nice to know there are such things out there to help out with the job.

If you aint helpin maybe just move along peaceable, nothing here you want to see.
