We bought a 2006 HD Ultra Classic Touring bike. The security key light stays on, no odometer reading, spedo, tach, blankets, brake light, or horn now work. We've tried basic override systems & fob fond without success. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Bike still runs great, except above problems. Thank you!
You are going to need a new TSM, just fixed the same problem on a 2007 Softail. Get the service manual for your bike, troubleshoot, and double check, but I'm 95% sure in my answer. About $300, and I wouldn't buy a used one, personally. My 2 cents, good luck!

I imagine thats *a* reason, but not necessarily *the* reason. The key light staying on is indication of an electrical fault somewhere - pinched wire, etc.

Why I said to get the manual, troubleshoot, and double check.
Glad it was an easy fix, let's hope it doesn't blow again. Here's a couple pages from the 2004 Electrical diagnostic manual. It explains how to pull the Diagnostic Trouble Codes on the bike. They help you pinpoint a problem. This link lists them too. https://www.fuelmotousa.com/p-29661-...es.html#pcodes
I would also check the connections on the horn make sure they are tight and clean and try the cigar lighter and see if it works. Those are two things that could cause excessive current through the fuse.
Here's a good video on how to retrieve the PIN that is in the bike now: https://video.search.yahoo.com/searc...13&action=view
