Default Ape install checklist for 13' Road King

Getting ready to buy a set of 14" apes for my 2013 Road King. I was seriously looking at Hill Country Custom Cycles complete kit but after reading through the threads, here, about them I am nervous because the negative reviews outweigh the positives. I even search other forums and there are a lot of pissed off people who say not to buy from them. I am not afraid to spend the money on pre-wired complete bars AND I am not afraid to do the wiring etc myself.
I think I am going to get the Wild 1 WO572. So I need a wire extension kit, TBW extension kit ? ( Assume the old one come out of the bars?) , longer clutch cable, longer brake line, new grips (because the left is glued), new clutch housing gasket and fluid, and wanna get new bushings. Should I get, and do they have, plug and play wire extensions or get a solder kit? Which one (brand) is the best to get? Are there any quality complete kits? Any one know what size clutch and brake (how much over stock) I need or should I mount the bars, then measure?
Did I miss anything and any advice?
Thanks in advanced

im pretty sure your bike has plug and play extensions which is awesome...wish mine had that. I had to cut the harness and extend mine and solder. Mine is an 08 though, i think after that was the plug and play. You might not have to buy a left hand grip, i didnt, was held on not by glue but the housing. I mounted my bars first, then it showed me exactly what i needed for the extensions, remember to allow a few extra inches for the wiring harness if you are running them internally through the bars....its better to have extra that you can tuck away then to run short once they are pushed through the bars...good luck. OH and dont forget to add either a couple of beers or whiskey or both to your checklist.

I think I have to cut my wires. I believe in 2014 they started the can bus thing. I will add beer and single malt Speyside scotch

The easiest way to do it is to get a handlebar extension kit. Several companies make them. I went with Magnum. You do not have to cut any wires. If you want to get rid of the green connector on the TBW without any soldering you can get this part number 32310-08.

Ok, I just looked at the Namz and Magnum kit. So I still have to solder. I am assuming I just call them to find out what size kit I need. I will check out the TBW extension through the dealer. How about quality cables. My dealer will also order stuff through Drag Specialties which I may do. Only reason being is I have a Harley credit card with a ton of points that I barely use. I probably have $300 worth of points and you can only buy so many shirts. If I ever get rid of my bike I would have to buy a new wardrobe.

Do they stagger the solder connections on the extension kits?

Default Get the heavy duty bushings and one piece clamp!

You need the bushings and one piece clamp!
Wild1 has them. I have the Reaper bars, very comfortable.
